It's great that projects like this exist, I enjoy the original trilogy and I make a point of archiving every significant restoration and preservation project that I can. And I stabilized and otherwise tinkered things to try to get them to fit in with the blu-ray, as needed. There have been other prints scanned already one of which was used in Despecialized 2. I think once someone does a shot-by-shot version of 4K83 and as a personal preference, removes the reel change markers , it will be pretty damn hard to beat that. Audio Track 1 is the stereo optical audio extracted from our primary 35mm print using a 35mm optical reader and Dolby decoder. All in all, I prefer this version. They have been time adjusted to account for the two extra frames see below.

The 35mm footage in Despecialized is shaky I believe the technical term is gate weave during the dance scene and some of the sail barge scenes. Posted for size comparison only. The shot you showed actually had more folds on the left side than on the right, so it made sense that they didn't show on the right side of her shirt. All frames were scanned, cleaned, stabilized, and color corrected in 4k anamorphic from 35mm prints. I also saw plenty of scuff marks on the storm trooper armor. This happens for both 4K83 and 4K77. For the most part it is a reel-to-reel color correction. This seems to be missing on the original stereo mix. Most people won't notice a two frame shift in audio sync. It's great to have choices.
