Crenna is well matched against Williams, who gets to play his slimy role with a bit of nuance and humour. Richard Crenna is once again solid as a rock, playing a dedicated police sergeant named Boyd. A must for psychological thriller fans, good performances, allround.
Obviouslytypecast, is Sly's good mate, caring cop, Richard Crenna, out to bustthis pimp, Kurtz, and awesome piece of acting from Paul Williams, whojust outdoes the others. Theygo ice skating, Crenna, not a good skater, by any means. Also we get tosee the time activating gadget for feeding his fish which starts with aphonecall. Detective Sandy Macauley Chuck Shamata. . It's greatly enhanced by a fine score by under rated Canadian composer Paul Zaza. In this latest crime spree, there seems to be anight-time sniper who is killing ladies of the night or prostitutes forno apparent reason.
The photography is occasionally too gimmicky, butis mostly good to exceptional. It just made me wonder who was the goodguy and who was the bad guy in the movie. Their challenge is this: What do thedetectives do while the bodies pile up? The story was rather on the clumsy side indeveloping the various possible suspects, and that was annoying. But ifthey are not making headway, then what are they doing? Another well plotted thriller, sees a prostitute hating nut taking outhis victims with a fancy rifle, silencer attached. That's not all, ournut has a camera mounted on his rifle, so at the point of shot, hetakes a series of photos until they are, as the title refers.
Everything in Stone Cold Dead has been done before. But most disappointingly, for much of the film there's no plot to speakof, and the story rambles for no good reason. Moreover, the script fails to even bother to trace the trail of clues — Richard Crenna just happens to find the darkroom, the film never tells us how. This movie is uncut, unrated And commercial free. . . You wouldwonder why Kurtz would kill his own employees and hurt his prostitutionbusiness? Some deranged sniper has been offing prostitutes and at the same timephotographing them and sending the photos to the police to taunt themand make them feel helpless in catching him.
I would highly recommend this film! Some are good, others bad and still others are downright lethal and often lead to murder. She takes her undercover role alittle too seriously, her demise near the end, came as quite a shock init's first viewing. Crenna's female friend, who's working undercover, to try andbust his arch rival, Kurtz, is fun too. Sergeant Tony Colabre George Touliatos. It is just thatthe story doesn't flow and has little impact. The movie lacksforward momentum and tension. It's the story ofDecective Sgt Boyd Richard Crenna who despite his years of policeservice to the Dept.
Again this is a highly constructed thriller, whereyour guesses to to the killer will waiver from one to another. The Canadian cinema doesn't inheritthe British disease of excessive talk, but in its own way it inheritstoo much gentility. His women, including one of his favorites, arebeing taken out. Meanwhile, the pimp playedby Paul Williams is given quite a lot of screen development too. The underworld is insipidly presented — it feels as though the filmmakers are straining at cliches of the seedy underside of society on an economy-sized budget. The movie is slow to develop and the audience is thrown more than it needs when it comes to trying to pinpointing the killer.
Selain itu untuk kamu yang sangat nge-fans dengan artis favorit seperti , juga bisa dicari filmnya termasuk film-film ngetop seperti , , atau terbaru yang bikin baper lengkap semua disini. The underrated Alberta Watson emerges well towards the end. The Canadian-made Stone Cold Dead is a cliched and lacklustre variant on the vice underworld thriller. The movie is slow to develop and theaudience is thrown more than it needs when it comes to trying topinpointing the killer. .
Danny De Lion George Chuvalo. I feel instead that this film wouldhave worked much better with Richard Crenna going after a single murderin the same awful place full of crime and the immorality that eats athim, and trying to pin it on Paul Williams much as he does already. The music is great, even when it's notmusic I love it fits. There are bits that are of interest. Stone Cold Dead is a solid rate thriller, that doestend to fall a bit into sleaze here and there. Sets stick out like a sore thumb, and the occasional coveringof a brand with gaffer tape is too obvious also.
. There's some lovely editing, lighting and the sound design and recording is vastly above par for theera, and pretty good for today's technology and sensibility. Detective Paul Kane Paul Williams. The dubious highlight of Stone Cold Dead is pint-sized Paul Williams, who was best known a musician and attained brief fame as an actor in the 1970s, most notably in 1974 and the Smokey and the Bandit films. The serial killer plot is poorly done, unlikely, and while the endingis somewhat interestingly done, in the final analysis I thinkunnecessary and too clever by half. They cannot make much headwaybecause the movie is intent on showing a string of killings. This black 1970's murder, mystery was originally written by Hugh Garnerand directed for the screen by George Mendeluk.
